This place deserves an outright zero. Worst Municipal Court in New Jersey!
no one answers the phone-city dollars at work..they are all probably gabbing with each other and cant be bothered to do their work.
The epitomy of laziness, poor service, and rudeness. These people sit on their positions as throne. Very rude and disrespectful black folk who are working for their slave master to oppress others. You give them an authoritative role and now they treat everyone like dirt especially that blonde hair lady in room 305 and the fat dinosaur looking one. You can thank Mayor Ras Baraka for giving all his friends, family, and cousins baby mamas jobs.
Horrible place, been calling for three days straight and no response.. I finally decided to call the “director” and got to speak to someone, but they were still unable to assist me. What a waste of valuable time.
You may say, well you deserve it. The funny part is that the traffic violation I received is for a commercial vehicle, but all my cars are registered as particular, not commercial. So why do I deserve to waste a day of work to resolve a ticket that should have never been issued?
I just left this facility after days (or, according to how it felt, months) of waiting to be seen by a Judge. There is so much overcrowding in the system in Newark that there is a great chance that if you have committed any crime from a traffic offense to possession of a drug in the amount, and of the particular kind that would land you a hefty state prison sentence in 90% of the municipalities in NJ, here in Newark, you will remain in the Municipal court and you will receive a fine and a Disorderly Persons stain on your jacket. Don't worry about going to jail if you deserve to, however, if you have committed a motor vehicle offense and should be released immediately, there is a good chance that you'll be in jail overnight or for 3 or 4 days. You see, it takes forever to see a Judge here, but once you do you will be released. So, get picked up driving without a lisense or get picked up with 100 bags of cocaine and 1,000 bags of heroin, and be prepared to spend 3 days in jail. That's pretty much what happens to everyone, all the time, regardless.
I have been trying to contact this piece of s... place for the past 4 days. No one ever answers! F...... useless.
