I am coming up on my 1 year since I developed extreme back pain from a herniated disc in my lower back. The herniated disc entrapped my cyadiac nerve! I did not work for the whole month of March and most of April, I went through whole process of therapy, shots and then finally the surgery. The only way to describe it is I crawled into the hospital and jogged out!! Instant relief! Thank you Dr Rush Fisher and the team associated.
I've dealt with back problems since injuring my back over 40 years. At that time, I lived in Philadelphia and went to the best back doctors there, getting no answers that I could understand and a variety of treatment ideas; so I lived with the back pain. Two years ago I herniated another disk and eventually was recommended to Christiana Spine. Dr. Tony Cucuzella has been giving me injections to shrink the disk; and it's been amazing. He has also made sense for me of all the injuries I've had and explained what could be done. I can't recommend him or the center highly enough. All of the personnel there are great.
Amazing results with my lower back pain. Dr Kim is the sweetest, must skilled orthopedic surgeon I've ever had. Highly recommend!
I developed pain in the neck in Sept 2016, and had on and off issues with the lumbar spine for a few years that started bothering me at the beginning of 2017. I consulted my family physician and was lead through the PT and MRI routine and then referred to Christiana Spine. My wife also recommended them having had three surgeries via their offices.
Fantastic staff of surgeons and nurses.
The office staff was very pleasant and patient. They answered questions, and were always willing to help. I was assigned to Dr Roberts. Doctor Roberts is the nicest doctor ever, and has a pleasant personality. He is brilliant at what he does, and did thorough testing with me and reviewed my neck MRI with me, explaining exactly what the images were showing. I had a deteriorating disc in the neck that was encroaching on the nerve root. He told me my options, and we decided that seeing that PT and medications were not working that an injection would be the best course. I was scheduled for the procedure which was done by Dr Cucuzella. The staff and doctors at the surgical center were amazing. I was extremely pleased with how the procedure went. It worked very well, but the results are different for everyone. My pain returned a little about two weeks later. Not uncommon. So we scheduled a second injection. In the mean time my Lumbar spine went from bad to worse. I had an MRI done and Dr Roberts reviewed it with me in detail. I have a rupturing disc in that location that is imposing on the sciatic nerve. A week after my visit I had a major attach of sciatica and the pain was unbearable. Doctor Roberts set up an immediate lumbar injection procedure for me. I had to wait 3 days but ended up in the ER in agonizing pain. Dr Fisher happened to be in the hospital at the time I was in the ER and had just completed surgery. He was nice enough to come down and pay me a visit and review my MRI's and an old CT scan. That is the sign of an outstanding surgeon and a man who cares about the patient. They treated my pain and I was able to get to my injection date. Dr Roberts performed the procedure, and I am now pain free, and waiting to see what happens over the next few weeks. I cannot recommend Christiana Spine Center enough. My only regret is that I am retiring to Texas in two years and fear i will not find a Spinal specialist as good as they are at the Christiana Spine Center.
