All of this stuff is great news and totally meets my standard for "get what you expect" and "good eats" but what REALLY adds the cherry on top... The beautiful crafting picture on the mirror wall and wall picture of china's landscape! The artwork is so attention grabbing, so interesting, so well done... This level of care for the ambiance and the overall dining experience just reinforces the unexpected and enjoyable attention to detail.
good prices for some actually really good food!
I ordered chicken with broccoli with light sauce in the past, and it was perfect. So I ordered that again today. My chicken with broccoli had NO sauce on it, and the first piece of chicken I bit into had hard pieces in it. Absolutely disgusting. I called to see if they could replace my meal, and their answer was "no one has complained today, there's nothing wrong with the chicken." I guess I'm no one then. Will absolutely never order from here again.
Finding a small family business like this... in a neighborhood that tends to skew away from eating out and towards South America cuisine... is such a welcomed treasure. Check this place out, make the trek from your job, your home, whatever... Help keep them in business for years to come. In fact, I heard the older son say his daughter will be due next month!! Definitely going to be adorable like their parents so we definitely want this family restaurant to not just survive, but thrive!
Food is really good, however I started noticing that the amount on the receipt they give me is lesser than the one reflected on my bank statement. The other funny thing is that when I check my account mints after the transaction it shows as "pending". This gives them the ability to modify the actual amount charged.
If I had to say one thing that stands out above all others at Ming Choo... is the attention to detail.
The place is everything you'd dream for in a quiet neighborhood spot. The family that runs this place is kind. Excellent customer service compare to any around! My first time trying this restaurant and let me tell you the food tastes fresh and yummy. The menu offering is both a little more than what you'd hope to expect but also provides all of the comforable favorites I've come to love. Great prices with generous customer services. I'm so happy I stopped by this chinese restaurant They make me feel like a family thank you Ming Choo.
Take for instance, the hot and sour soup. Notmally you are #campsoursoup or #campchinesefood. It's the same levels of hotsoursoup expectation at most all small family run chinese asian fusion joints run by families of various asian ethnicities. Side note: I happen to think this family is chinese but they just seem so kind and sweet that if I had the courage to start practicing my Mandarin, I bet they would humor me and chat for awhile... The older and young son speaks good english we have a nice chat... It's that kind of friendly family neighborhood feel. Ok... So back to soup and food. Right. Hot sour soup usually skews toward deliciously uninspring. HOWEVER. Their hot and sour soup is anything but bland. I'm not quite sure how to explain it... It's not knock your socks off eat me now delicious but it's also well above "average" and comes with the custest lil mushroom yums. Each and every time, consistent, reliable, slurpable.
The food was good! The menu gives you a lot of options to choose from. The General Tso's chicken and spring roll were good. It had a unique taste just like other foods. Good food at a cheap price. Only problem is the delivery guy. He takes long but you can't blame him about traffic. Overall its a good Chinese restaurant to eat from!
