People gather frequently after church on Sunday.
Our server Barbara was friendly and down to earth; without being snippy. Our group had Fried Catfish, Fried Whiting, Meatloaf, Ox tails, Beef Bacon, French Toast, Garlic String beans, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potatoes, Hot Corn Bread with Butter; and more. Everything was good with one exception; the Black Beans. The Corn Bread is a dream of goodness!
It's clean, spacious, yet, cozy. Located across ftom the school with street-side parking.
The interior design is amazing. However the customer service is absurd. I ordered shrimp and grits and asked for the gravy on the side. After speaking with 4 different people I changed my entire order. I had to wait with no food while my party ate. All this for asking to put the gravy on the side. Moral here font even think about modifying the menu. Apparently it offends the staff.
This is my favorite hidden jem! The food is very good, the service is friendly and it's very reasonably priced. I don't think I've had better biscuits above the Mason-Dickson line. Everything I've ever had here is fresh, delicious with that home-made taste and feel. So good! I highly recommend it.

Great food! This is place for down home food that will remind of Mama's cooking. All that and friendly atmosphere of home with food served to you.
Four stars because of the amazing service and delicious grits. The fish however has gone down hill since they started using cornmeal. But the primary hostess is pretty awesome, besides her being a cowboys fan lol she's the reason people come back
