Go 10 feet to your right and get a car from Budget who has no idea what this "local" policy even is.

I reserved an SUV 2 weeks ago. When I arrived at the counter to pick up my rental (with my reservation number and detail of what I reserved in hand) on Friday evening 12/15 during a snow storm I was informed that if I still wanted an SUV I would have to wait as they did not have any at that time and they did not know when they would get one. They MUST have rented SUV's to people who did not have a reservation for an SUV because of the snow storm then when people got there who had a reservation for an SUV did not get what they reserved. VERY upset about not getting what I reserved. They gave me (what they called a full size car), a KIA Optima (that was a basic low end model) but their ads show Toyota Camry or similar for full size car rental. Extremely disappointed with this rental.

ADVANTAGE IS A DISADVANTAGE!!!

Overall, DO NOT attempt to go here if you don't have an airline ticket or live within a decent distance from this airport. No one seemed happy to be there.

The line was long (as the online deals were good) but eventually moved. The staff seemed friendly at first but ended up doing very little to help when they told me that I would be unable to rent from them.

Entirely unhelpful staff and ridiculous policies for locals lead to a competitor to get my money. IF YOU WITHIN LIVE 65 MILES GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I needed to travel to my grandmother's funeral on a busy holiday weekend, so I booked well in advance, and paid most of the fee up front. When I showed up, Advantage refused to rent me the car I had reserved. Missing my grandmother's funeral was out of the question, so I had to book with another renter, and given the busy holiday weekend, was forced to pay 3 times what I had rented from Advantage for.

Once the staff told me I wouldn't be able to take the car I rented OVER A MONTH before hand, the employee who was assisting me didn't even ask if I wanted a refund. I had to explicitly tell them to refund my account. Once I was done, with the large line behind me, the employee got up and just took a break. His manger followed him and they left the front.

Needless to say, this was an awful customer experience. I would highly recommend going with a different renter, even if that means paying a little more. You will thank yourself later.

On the counter (and no where in my online reservation or any further follow up) is a piece of paper that states that if you live within 65 miles of the airport you are plopped into a "local renters" policy. This policy requires you to have full coverage on your PERSONAL vehicle before they'll even THINK to let you rent from them. If you don't own a car but have a license? Too bad. If you have partial coverage on your vehicle (STATE APPROVED), too bad. Once you are approved, don't worry, you get 105 miles A DAY to use, then $.55 A MILE after that. Great if you're going 10 feet from the airport but not even enough to get you home and back if you're a further away "local".

The actual customer service employees were professional, but everything else about this company was clumsy and inefficient. The check-out took forever due to a system of inefficiency. The car we were given had maintenance warnings on the dashboard. When we showed this to an attendant, he simply told us to take a picture. After 70 miles of driving the car got a flat tire. This was a 2018 model with less than 8000 miles on it - it's pretty peculiar that such a lightly-used car would have any issues. We think it was very negligent of Advantage to rent out a car in this condition. A good rental car company should be aware of any maintenance issues with their cars, to prevent this type of situation.

After I returned, I found that Advantage had charged my card for the full price of the rental despite not renting me the car. I contacted Advantage, and eventually got them to cancel the charge to my card.

Seriously the worst customer service for any car rental. We waited 20 minutes in line only to be cut by another customer who got his turn before us. When we got our turn, the attendee got up and left without saying word at least five times without saying a word. He did not listen to what we were asking for in terms of coverage and kept interrupting. He was very racist and thought he was superior to others. Also we didn't get the car we asked for.
